Front wheels
 

I just had my second set of tires on my X have put 10 K on these recently noticed that the front side tire (driver side) makes a sound when i turn left only no sound when turning right the sound is like the tires or soem thing is rubbing against the walls of the guard or soemthing.

Was the car ever banged up or did you ever hit a curb? Is the alignment on the steering wheel centered? Did you let the wife or kids drive the car? lol

bbjack, look at the fender well lining. It is possible that it is slightly loose and due to the tight tolerances in the wheel well, having the lining even a little bit out of shape can cause the lining to rub on the tire, giving you the sound that you are hearing. No big deal if the sound continues (if this is the case). I would turn the wheel where it normally makes the sound and then get out and run your hand across the tire and where you can't fit your hand between the tire and the wheel well liner, that is most likely your source of noise.

I remember brusing the tire/rim against the curb but it was the right one , i have tried to run it and check but I dont the the tire in contact with any other surface; what is the 'fender well lining' ?

I am guessing you don't have anything bigger than the 225/40/18 size tires on the car as anything bigger than that could cause rubbing and you would have noticed that long before now. You don't say where you are located, but if you are in a cold climate and it recently snowed your wheel wells could be plugged up with snow that could have froze overnight. That would wear away pretty good going staright, but you might notice a rubbing noise when turning, especially if you go over a slight bump when turning.

bbjack, the fender well lining is the plastic that you see in the opening that the tire sits in. it is held in place with some friction clips. Sometimes they can come loose due to high winds and whatnot.

Also in the last few days its been freezing here in NJ i noticed when I start my car in the morning there is a lot of noise ( some sort of louud suction type) but goes away once the car is warm iam not sure if there is belt or some thing about to break ? does any body know of a mechy ( mechanic) for the Jaguar in this area ? or the dealership is my best bet !

bbjack, when you get a chance, before you start up the car, open the hood. Now, also remove the cover that is over the engine. Before starting the car, next to the throttlebody, you will see a 1" diameter hose running from the intake to the motor. Check the underside of that hose. Is it cracked? If so, that is your suction issue.

If that hose is not your issue, now, start the motor and look at the passenger side of the intake. You will notice 2 big black circles on the side of the intake. Run your finger along the edge of where the black meets up with the silver metal. Does your finger at any time cause the suction noise to change? if so, you have a bad "IMT O-Ring". You will need to under the two bolts for the IMT valve and put a new O-Ring on. These are like $3 each at your local jag dealership.

Beyond that, you will need to do some more looking around and seeing where the noise is coming from. From what you are describing, it is leaving a lot of things as a possibility.

I was able to change the top O-ring but not the lower one is there a way to get it out it gets stuck and i was not sure if i will need to open /lose other screws can you please advice
Also one more quick thing when ever i start the car in the morning ( it been cold lately in NJ around 20 ish F) and I turn the steering wheel i feel some sound/vibration any ideas why or where this is coming from
