Fuel Computer Data error.& warning light

I have two problems which are probably connected.

FUEL COMPUTER DATA ERROR on the LCD display.
Low fuel warning light is no longer triggered (at 25 miles left to go)

FCDR occurred at switch on and the fuel gauge indicated empty.
Switched off/on /off/on and the FCDR disappeared.
I have had it happen once since.

The orange fuel gauge warning light tests OK on start up.
Fuel gauge seems to register correctly.
Low fuel warning light still does not come on when the " miles to empty" calculator says less than 25 miles to go.

Problems have gone.

For the second time since I had the problem I allowed the gas tank to get down to the " 25 miles left" warning level but this time the warning light did come on.
The problem seems to have gone away.
I hope when I restart tomorrow all is still OK

henry, I am not sure exactly what triggers the low fuel light as I will see mine come on at 40 miles to go and then as long as 15 miles to go. The fuel level in the tank doesn't seem to be consistent either. You seem to keep a pretty close eye on the fuel level (like I do). I would not worry about it too much as it sounds like things are working fairly normal. Granted, as a general rule, mine comes on a 20 miles left fairly consistently. But, it has its moments. Hence why I know my car is a female.
