Fuel filter is a snap to change..you can get Purolator aftermarket for around $10.00USD..

The maintenance schedule says every 112,000 kM or 70,000 miles.

I would wear safety glasses to protect your eyes, you will be in a compromising position for some to get on your face, but we are not talking about a whole lot of pressure..once you remove either end of the fuel filter from the line, a small amount of gas will initially squirt out..it won't be gallons, only maybe a shot glass amount..then hurry up and remove the other end from the fuel line and install the new one in reverse order...Keith's Picture explains it all..

Here are the procedures for relieving the fuel pressure. I generally cheat and just press the schrader valve while holding a rag to soak up the gas. I would not recommend my way.

When mine hits 40,000 miles, I'm changing mine too..makes good sense as cheap and easy as they are to change.
