Gearbox fault and engine systems fault after driving into downpour
Last week I was driving home and my 2006 Jaguar X-Type Sport Wagon was driving Like a new car. Suddenly, I drove into a downpour. My gearbox fault message came on. The car went into limp mode. I managed to drive it home, parked it let it sit overnight and started it again the next morning. It started; the gearbox fault message was still on. I put it into reverse, the engine stalled out and the engine systems fault message appeared. I turned the car off, turned the key back on all the systems lit up but the engine would not turn over. Thoughts?

ECU or TCM got wet
Check the ECU and TCM fuses to see if they blew, then proceed = https://www.jaguarforums.com/forum/x...emedies-72301/ If you need to remove the ECU, you'll need the FIVE star security (tamper proof) torx to remove it. Internet search will get you one reasonably. |
Thank you, Dell
