Jim[/quote]

For those that may still have issues, I've revisited this and found as follows......

Click on Handbook download
Choose model type
Then owners handbook
click continue
click on year required
Choose relevant version
In my case - X type drivers handbook English RHD
** you will have to disable pop up blockers for this **

Even so, you may have to go through the process 2-3 times ( HOLD DOWN THE CTRL KEY WHILST CLICKING ON VERSION REQUIRED!! )

It will open a new page and the drivers handbook WILL appear.

I've just tried this myself successfully several times now so it does work for those of you that need it!

It's a wonder why Jag can't get a proper, simple and strait forward download procedure!

Default Owner's Manual 2006 X-Type

Here is the entire Owner's Manual PDF file:
X-type 2006 Owner Manual all pages.pdf

Forum member dac44444 posted in the Jaguar XJ8 & Jaguar XJR forum section:
06 X-Type Owners Manual - It say's I don't have access to this info?

I went up to the Jaguar Topix website and created a PDF file for the entire 2006 X-Type Owners Manual - all 204 pages of it.

No luck here. I tried both links w/ and w/o holding CTRL key popup blocker on and off. All I see is blank screen. Any suggestions will be welcomed.

Doesn't look as if my first attempt to reply to this thread worked. Sorry if duplicates show up.

Tried to download the Handbook via the 2 links provided. With and without popup blocker activated and w/ and w/o Avira anti-virus program active and Mozilla browser. No luck here. Just see blank screen. Not even a 404 error! Just a continuous "connecting".

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you,
04 X-Type

Hi
These 2 weblinks are the ones I have been using and yes they both work. I used them a few minutes ago.

Note I put the ** before and after the weblinks so you can copy the weblinks into your web browser if you have any trouble with the embedded ones in this post. I also removed the 1st letter from the weblinks (the w in www and the h in http).

I needed to remove the 1st letter because the forum software makes any www or http text into an embedded weblink that sometimes gets corrupted.

**ww.ownerinfo.jaguar.com**

www.ownerinfo.jaguar.com

Here is the information that is stored on the forum for this weblink. The forum software uses this stored information to find and format its access to the internet (it has the forum thread address, the post reference, the actual weblink twice and other info - font & color):

Hi
What was the problem with the repair manual dvd that you purchased on Ebay? What is the contents of the dvd? The JTIS software or Workshop PDF files????

I am interested to know if the problem was the dvd or not being able to install the software.

There are 4 or more possible sources for a repair manual that you can access from your computer:

JTIS Jaguar shop repair software (provided on this forum or on Ebay), Jaguar PDF repair manual (compiled from Topix) sold on Ebay, Online subscriptions for either Topix and Alldata DIY.

All of these options basically will give the same instructions and illustrations. Alldata DIY subscription will also give you the part numbers and the repair shop hours.

There is also a Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalog (JEPC) that is available on this forum.

Here is the weblink to the file download and download/install instructions (go down to post# 1 after it opens the webpage):

XP is easier, I think the XP instructions are still in the General tech section.

Hi SBJAG
Here is the weblink to JTIS download archives on the large files download for the forum (mediafire.com):

Open "X Type JTIS" folder by click on it, download 2 achive files in the folder by click on first one (JTIS21 X_Type.part1.exe), after it completes, then click on the second (JTIS21 X_Type.part2.rar) to complete the downloads of the archive files.

Then go back to previous screen
**http://www.mediafire.com/?3297awvo3atgw**

click on the "Mediafire download & Extract instructions for JTIS 21". this will open a new screen that has a download button (bar with the word Download). After you click on the download button, a PDF file download to start.

This PDF has instructions of how to install the JTIS21 software. These instructions were written for a full JTIS21 (all models) download. You will use the same instructions, but will you already downloaded the X-Type JTIS21 archives (that will be used in place of the all models).

I advise you to use the instructions on installing this software on your hard drive (instead of on a CD).

Their is also another PDF file you should download (that gives instructions & illustrations on how to use the JTIS software):

JTIS21 instructions & illustrations PDF file download is also on

If you have any problems, you can send me a Private Message and I will investigate and provide solutions.
