Has anybody taken apart a 2005+ fuel pump?
Gents;
Has anyone anyone taken apart a 2005 or later fuel pump? I ask, because fuel pumps up to 2003/4 can be “rebuild” or fixed by taking them apart and replacing the actual electric pump actuator inside the “bucket” . I am not sure if the same is applicable for later pumps as they are different . Thanks for any help |
I have tons of pictures of my replacement fuel pump and it looks exactly like an earlier year one. Idt they changed that pump as listing (depending on the "pigtail" or "elongated pin" electrical hookup) runs from 2002-2009 on replacements.

Well I was able to source a genuine pump electric pump that looks identical to what other members have posted.
Challenge remains cutting the hole, removing the pump with gas still in the car and doing it safely. https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...16648ba4c.jpeg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...0caac5b63.jpeg https://cimg2.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...5ed131023.jpeg |
