Default Help, prob after fuel filter change

Hi,

I just replaced the fuel filter on a 3.0 2004 Jaguar X-Type and like a dummy i accidentally pulled the ems control relay along with the fuel pump relay to relieve pressure... everything seems to run perfect when re-installed... but the owner said it drove kinda funny the next day. does something need flashed or reset now? Does it have a self diagnostic program i can run? help me please.

theCOMystic, first off, welcome to the Forums. Lots of good information here. But, please stop by the New Member Section and tells us a little bit about yourself. We pride ourselves in being a better car group and as part of this, we like to get to know one another so it is more like a family than you will find elsewhere.

As for the issue you are experiencing, odds are, it is just the computer relearning how to shift the car and how the person drives. If the person has never done that with their car, it may feel like the car is not acting properly. Give the car 10 miles or so and then see how it is acting. If it is still acting funny, then putting it on a diagnostic machine will probably be your best course of action.
