Installed incorrect-sized gaskets. Now have gearbox/engine fault!
I installed intake manifold gaskets that were designed for a 2003 Ford Taurus and afterwards my Jaguar threw up a "gearbox fault" and "engine system fault."
I re-opened the intake and replaced the gaskets with the original.. Afterwards I reset the computer, turned the car on and it still gave the same faults!!!!
I'm getting hardly any acceleration when I put my foot on the gas pedal.
Please help!!!

Jaaaaaaaag, from the sounds of things, you have another issue or you pinched one of the new gaskets and one of these two issues is causing your problem. Granted, when you removed the intake, did you happen to damage the plug on the throttle body? If that doesn't go back together, it can cause major issues.
The other thing that I would be asking is since you have limited power, the computer is seeing an issue. What code(s) is the computer seeing? That may help us narrow down what your issue may be.

Upon further inspection, I noticed the plug on the very top of the intake manifold (MAP sensor?) isn't "clicking" when I attach it. Could this be my issue?
I won't be able to put it on the diagnostic machine until tomorrow because the vehicle won't run at all.
Also, if this helps any.. I don't have any acceleration when I put my foot on the gas pedal.
Thanks!

Jaaaaaaaag, from the sounds of things, you have a problem with the plug on the outside plug for the throttle body. A quick check. Remove the intake from the air box side of the throttle body. Now, turn the key to the RUN position and then with the help of a second person, step on the gas and see if the throttle body opens. if it doesn't, then your problem is with the throttle body system, not the intake.
Yes, that is the MAP sensor, but that is only telling the computer the intake manifold pressure. Even if that failed completely, the engine would still run and most likely be causing the check engine light to flash at you.

Jaaag, if you twisted around the intake with the plugs still attached, it is possible that you hurt the wiring going to the throttle body. I would say to start with looking at the wiring there to see if the wiring makes any funny bends. I would say to also roll the wiring harness over your finger and watch how the wiring bends. It should follow the contour of your finger. If you see a wiring bend much sharper than the contour of your finger, then you have a broken wire at the point that it bends sharply.
