Jag 2000 wheels fit '04 x type. Also tire question
Saw some used wheels off a '2000 jag', that's all the person knows. Got them from cleaning out an apartment basement.
Will they fit an '04 x type? These wheels are 5 bolt, obv... ALso, my jag has 225/50/17. What is the smallest tire I can use as a replacement? Trying to save some $ |
Ask for a photo, someone may recognize them.
In a day or two, when I get my PC finished, I can compare the photo with the Jaguar Electronic Parts Catalogue and 95% likely find the name and specs. All recent Jag wheels are 5 bolt, but some are 5x108 and some 5x120. S-Type and X-Type are the same aside from offset and S-Type wheels being generally wider so you might need spacers with those. XJ and XK wheels are way wider. |

That isn't an X-Type wheel, but can't be more specific without the catalogue.

Looks like Taurus and X type wheels are the same. 4.25" (measure from 2 lug holes, their bottom to the middle of the hole immediately across the wheel). 108Mm. High positive offset.
I'm going to check my daughter's taurus wheel tomorrow on the Jag and then if it fits, I found 4 taurus wheels with snows... |
Erik, see if you can test fit a wheel to make sure that it would work on your car. As for Ford Taurus wheels working, atleast the 2002 or so years will work. They use the same bolt pattern and the spacing of the rims is pretty close.

Hmh, I didn't find those wheels from the catalogue.
X-Type offset is positive 52.5mm as far as I know. |
Turns out that 2006 Taurus wheels do exactly fit my 2004 X type...
