Default "Jag Forums are Dangerous" lol

I was told today at a Jag dealership...."Jag forums are dangerous, you can't change the transfer case oil(Mind you they said so on the phone, and told me to bring it in..Had to pay 60 bucks for nothing), and also that greasing the prop shaft is a major no no...LOL...The guy obviously thought I was some dumb kid, and told me that my problem was the transfer case and for it and the service would cost 3.4k...Even more of a LOL moment...ahhh, I'm just going to drive with the radio turned up for now..I wont ever go back there again...

all you need to keep your TC happy is the correct oil...a good quality jack and a socket set. Its a shame business has to get in the way of joyful jag ownership. I'm so glad they didn't suck you in to their way of thinking :+)

I better put on my tinfoil cap for safety.

Seriously though don't keep the radio up loud for too long before you look at the TC oil.

Let’s see…. follow the dealer's advice = $3.4k repair OR follow the rabble on this forum = spend a few bucks to change oil and save your transfer case. Your choice?

To be fair the dealer is right that you can’t change the oil as the car is designed and Jaguar recommends you don't. What we’ve figured out is how to do it anyway.
