Just bought a JAG need some input

I just purchased an 02 x type from ebay, the car was extremely cheap so I had to jump on it, however the miles are high. IT has 84,000 on it. But it is in mint condition and the car report showed nothing. Than I found this forum and saw all these people posting problems with the vents, and other scary repairs. My car has a full bumper to bumper warrenty that Ipurchased covering me till 120,000 miles. What I am wanting to know is are there any x type owners out there that dont have problems, that maybe have high miles. Also now that I got such a break on the price, I have a huge amount of money to drop into it. I am in Texas so I am all about the show, could really care less about the GO with that car. I bought the 3.0 Sport with Navi, it is as loaded and the x came, the origonal owner even got the winter package. But any way I am about to drop the cash this week, the plans are Tint, GRills, 20's, Lowering springs 1.4, TV's in the head rest, custom trunk install. Now does any one know can I drop this car and have it on 20's? Do I have to get like 30, or 35 series tires? I am going to get a body kit as well, so the car doenst appear tobe sitting so high off the ground. Can I pull this off or do I need to get the 19's. I seen people with 20's on the X, on car domain but there's werent lowered and looked too high off the ground for my taste. I want it to look european not ghetto, but I want to braga bout my 20's in the Ghetto. So help me out.

Relax

People tend to only post problems and questions. Like the rest of us, you have a fine vehicle that will eventually need a repair or two. Can't help you on the wheels/tires.

We all care bro and are happy that you found us! I have done extensive work on my 05, 3.0 so I can appreciate your enthusiasm in wanting to get yours tweaked.
The more popular the car is, the more performance parts we will see sold. As we all have encountered, the x-type is a fairly new model and not very popular with the young performance crowd, which I???m hoping will change.

If you want performance and or kits here are several WebPages to get you going, and I hope you have the cash because performance parts are not cheap for this car!!

So far I have Borla exhaust, K&N filter, stainless steel upper and lower grill, lowered suspension from Arden, passport laser diffusion remote radar and some other stuff that I can't remember what for some reason......as I wonder why I spend my money on her so much.....not to mention the high octane fuel I put down her throat ever week at 2.50 a gallon.

After my extensive research on wheels I think you should go 19's and then drop it. If you get 20's I think you'll have wheel well issues and rubbing. I just wen't with 18's and planning to drop it with eibach springs in a month or so. Make sure you get the right offset as the xtype uses a high offset.

RE: Relax

Jaguar x type wheel offset is 45 or 48 I think, not too may 20's out there with that. If you use any other offset you will degrade the handling abilities of this fine handling machine and risk the chances of premature wear on the axles, bushings and upper/lower control assemblies. And, you steering will be completely off.
