just curious how security is on these cars, i can't seem to find too much info on them either, when i go to start the car nothing happens except for a light comes on and says SECURITY!!!!! and it wont let the car do anything. everything inside works and the fuel pump works. just curious if anyone knows to bypass the security sytem so i can get her going. ?? i messed around with it for a week and can get anything out of it. its a 2002 jaguar x-type 2.5 awd automatic.

 

Do you have more than one key? If so, maybe the chip in one key is bad. That would prevent the engine from starting. If you only have one key, perhaps the chip just died all of the sudden. And as far as I know, there is no way to bypass the key chip.

i need to be able to put power to the starter and get it to fire or something i took the coumn plastic around of today and there is something missing there is like 4 wires dangling there a black an orange lime green and blue just dangling under the ignition hose have to go to something. there is got to be a way to bypass the alarm cause personally i dont care about the alarm system.

 

o also i was reading something on the forumn but cant seem to find thread again. appreatly there is a light on the dashboard that will flash a code when there is security problem and if that is for the x-type which light is it and what codes can it show and where?
