Default Looking for reasonable parts dealer

Hi all,

A little new to the Forum but just bought my first Jag and although I had cheked by a "pro", it still has some worrying issues.

Included in my shopping list after a second opinion are:
  • washer motor.
  • Front Stabilizer links
  • Front and rear Stabilizer bar rubbers
  • Control arm bushings
  • Splindle bushings (not sure if this was typo).
I reside in the Cayman Islands and prices here are are sometimes ridiculous.

I have checked online and note that most sites carry parts that are very cheap (cost wise) but I suspect quality may be comprimised as most are either of Turkish or Japanese origin.

Would grealy appreciate any help or tips in sourcing for quality and reasonably priced parts.

Thanks,
Cay Jag

I have bought ALL of my parts from ebay and rockauto.com for extremely cheap and haven't had any problems. If I was looking into moving parts, I would go for something a little higher quality, but for things that are a simple bolt on, bolt off replacement, I have decided to save my cash.

For instance, I bought the most expensive spark plugs I could find because I didn't want to have to tear apart my engine again, but I bought all my suspension bushings off of ebay and rockauto cause it's really only a bolt that holds most of those bushings in anyways.

Cay, look on the site, you will find a vendor here on the site that should be able to help you out. Look for "Nalley Jaguar" (may now be referenced as Hennessey Jaguar since they recently bought Nalley). The other site I would tell you to look at is Jaguarparts.com. They are a dealership based out of Cleveland, Ohio. They have good prices too and you are getting Jaguar parts there too. One other site I will tell you to look at is britishcarparts.com. One of the members here works for them and they can get you just about any part you need. If they can't get it for you, he will know where to get it. Just ask for Ken.

Jaguar parts is a great place for new parts. Good prices and they ship instantly. There is a place called coventry west that is a jaguar junk yard. They have very reasonalbe prices, if you dont need something brand new.
