Lost Window Up Lock Function
Hi: After having battery disconnected for a few minutes while changing water pump, I find upon reconnecting that the radio came back on OK keeping its station memory even but the clock had reset. Also, the AC came back on set to automatic in centigrade even though it had not been on and was set in Fahrenheit mode. Both A and B trip odometers went to zero. The worst problem though is my windows no longer go up when the door key is held to lock like it used to. The key fob works fine and the car starts and runs fine. I have changed back and forth from global to non-global lock with no effect. Is there a procedure to put this back the way it was? Thank you. --Tom

Sounds like you lost the internal auto up functionality...
This is out of the Manual To reset the electrically operated windows anti-trap feature • Fully close the window, hold the switch in the close position for two seconds and then release the switch. Wait for two seconds, do not open the window. • Again, select the same window to close, holding the switch for a further two seconds. • Check to confirm the operation by opening the window and then use one touch operation to close the window. • Repeat for the remaining electrically operated windows. Difference in US vs Euro Spec?
Hi: I did try the first suggestion but nothing changed. The second suggestion did restore the desired functionality. I appreciate both members' input. Maybe the US cars have different software related to their inhibition on global window close from the key fob? --Tom
