Misfire coded p0300,p0302,p0306, p1316
Well I've been having issues with rough start ups when cold outside rpm's drop below 500 for a moment idles rough between 500-1000 rpm's it only actually died one time on start up that was last year it was like -10 degrees. Now yesterday it was a rough idle start dropping low rpm's and started my car after work and check engine light was on and I got misfire codes on there. I've been resting about possible vacuum leaks but I couldn't really find any. Someone with experienced this issue can shed some light on this that would helpful. I ordered bk44 to clean out the fuel system that's in process of getting here.
Add: code p1316 Thanks James |
P0300 is a random misfire, P0302 and P0306 are misfires on cylinders 2 and 6; P1316 is another general misfire code. Jaguar lists the potential causes as
Cylinder compression low Ignition coil failure Again cyls 2 and 6.Worn camshaft / broken valve spring(s) Fuel delivery pressure (low / high) Fuel injector(s) restricted / leaking Fuel injector(s) continuously open Fuel contamination Fuel injector circuit fault(s) (Injector DTCs also flagged) Spark plug failure / fouled / incorrect gap ECM to ignition coil primary circuit fault (Cylinder misfire detected DTC also flagged)(Cyls 2 and 6 for yours) |
I found a leak on the Lower IMT intake looks like the o-ring is worn and it's sucking air in. Would this cause that issue?

Certainly could, probably would and definitely should be fixed anyway!!
