Default my new jag

hi all, ive had my first jag, a 2008 2.2diesel x type for 2 weeks now and I am very happy with it but cant work out how to connect my phone via Bluetooth, unfortunately I don't as yet have the manuals for the car as the old chap (a friend) that I bought the car off cant find them at the moment due to having had a stroke, the car had been off the road for a while and had to have a new battery, I managed to over ride the code that he cant find as its with the manuals by putting a 4 digit code til please wait comes up then pressing 3 buttons til stereo comes on, I believe it is different to the earlier which had a 3 digit code then press and hold 2 buttons although looks the same, it doesn't have a touch screen or sat nav just the cd at the bottom then the small display for the radio with the phone stuff either side, any ideas how I can get the bluetooth connected ? thanks stu.

You more than likely do not have the phone module. All X Types have the phone icon whether or not they have the phone hookup installed.

When you press the phone button does "No Phone" come up in the info display? If so, you do not have that option.

If your friend cannot find the manuals look up at the top in the Sticky section as I belive you can download them there.

Hope you enjoy your new ride!

bigstu, send me a PM with your e-mail address and I will pass on the electronic manuals that I have. Hopefully that will give you the info that you are after.
