Default New x type owner here

Hey everyone I have a 05 x type what kind of upgrades are there for this car I'm new to jag and not formular with performance upgrades and mods any help would be greatly appricated thanks

You can style the car but there are no performance upgrades available (primary reason is that the transfer case in the AWD is weak and wouldn't accept any significant power increases).

Echoing what PAB says. Unless you upgrade the transfer case (which no kits exist that we are aware of), upgrading power is only going to become a very expensive thing as you will end up replacing a lot of transfer cases. When they run $3000 apiece, you can see how this will be a pricey adventure.

Ok yea def can get expensive lol thanks for the info guys much appreciated.. What about exhausts I saw on Mia they have a really nice quad exhaust 12 hp gain smart to get or just leave it alone

VW, I have installed 2 of these kits. Super easy to do if you have a sawzall. As for power gains, I think the numbers are a little over stated. The tone is really nice though. So, if yo uare going to do that mod, do it for the sound and nothing else. I think you might find the power gains a little on the light side.

I completely agree, though I lack first-hand experience on the matter. I'm changing both the intake and the exhaust during the summer just for the sake of sound, since sound is an important part of the feel of the car. You won't get any noticeable increase in power easily, and even if you do, you couldn't use it without expediting the demise of your transfer case.
