I use mobile 1 synthetic with the mobile 1 synthetic oil filter. Best prices I have found were from Pep Boys in the USA, I am Canadian so every time I drive down to the states I buy 2 jugs and a filter. Also I noticed Sonic Delta car washes do a full synthetic mobile one oil change for about $65 which is about the same costs as parts but then if your pricing it out you are basically getting labour in for free. I have never done this as I just found out the price recently but maybe next time I will.

Isn't the x-type jaguar oil filter the same as a ford/motorcraft oil filter? If so does anyone know the part number?

Anyone using the oil filters with Teflon in them? Wonder if it helps any, for cars over 70K? or what about Teflon additives for synthetic?

Im confused. Is it okay to put synthetic oil in the V6 or no?

Dennis 08-03-2008 12:54 PM

RE: Oil Change????

Yes it is okay..No problems, in fact you may see better mileage.

Thanks Dennis
Seeing that Jaguar does not approve synthetics in the V6had me a little scared
especially since I had already put synthetic oil in mine

RE: Oil Change????

It's a long story..but that was in the simplest terms.. a mistake on Jaguar's part..Had everything to do with the free olil changes they gave away at one time..So Sythetics are fine
