Default Picture of device increasing power and fuel economy twice.

I found it in trunk of my X.
It was probably left by James Bond or some Great Britain intelligence agent. I don't know what it is and am scared to install it. It possibly:
1.Increases engine power twice.
2.connects my X to some space ship
3.sending activation signal to Great Britain nuclear rockets
4.activates fly mode
5.changes car color (I don't want that)
6.activates ejection seat
Any other ideas?

It's an insurance OBD reader that monitors your driving style/habits to POSSIBLY reduce your premiums. Based on acceleration (always slow), braking (always gradual), etc.

"Snapshot is a program that personalizes your rate based on your ACTUAL driving. It's technically called usage-based insurance. That means you pay based on how and how much you drive instead of just traditional factors. It's simple. Drive safe and save. Drive extra safe and save even more. There are still other pricing factors, and your rate may increase with high-risk driving. But you're in control of what you pay for car insurance, and most drivers earn a discount. In fact, Snapshot rewards the average driver with a $130 discount.*Plus, you'll get an automatic discount just for signing up."

Probably wouldn't do me any good, as I still like to blast mine around now, and then. I'd just bet mine would go up! HEHEHE!!!

This bit of "Big Brother" technology is not in any way designed to help the motorist despite the claims of the insurance company. It is designed to do exactly the opposite: to give the company a constant and invasive monitoring of your driving habits so that they have an excuse to penalize you -you have no idea (on purpose) of what their criteria are, nor how far the use of this information will go. This monitoring will permit them to send you a letter at renewal time saying something like : "Based on the pattern of use of your vehicle (distance travelled, average speed, acceleration and braking habits, location and time of use ...) we have found it necessary to increase your annual premium to reflect the greater risk involved...".

Be afraid. Be very afraid. Discard this divice immediately...but that will only help with the car you are using at present. The chances are that it will be mandatory to have these intrusive devices installed in every car before long. 1984 is already here (if that makes no sense to you, you need to expand your reading pattern).

Never!!! I'm 60 and I still find occasion to blast the 8 miles to the next town in excess of 100mph ! Quite frequently I might add. And that's in the Wifes daily driver (tweeked) 2008 Mustang V6 with a stick. This things in 1969 Camaro 327 territory. Near 300 Hp. It'll do over 100mph in 3rd gear with 2 more to go!

So No!!! I'll never Grow up!!! All I can say is wait until I get the Jacobra finished!!! Then we're gonna see if we can lose our License!!! HEHEHE!!!
