Power steering left side hose.
 

Hi all, beware of the plastic cover under the car near the left front wheels, apparently common in the X-type Jaguar 2001-2009. It rubs against the power steering metal hose it's meant to protect. In my case i discovered it early and rectified it, basically one edge on the plastic cover after years of rubbing against the hose will eventually cut through it and you will loose all power steering fluid, if left longer it may damage your power steering rack.
Please check with your mechanic to make sure that plastic cover isn't rubbing against the hose.The hose is also a dealer only part.
