Project 18" Jaguar XF Cygnus Wheels

I just got these in the mail and spacers are coming. 18x8.5 with 215/35 going on and corrected offsets of 40mm front and 23mm rear. Here is a mock-up using photoshop.

Update: Real-ish photos to accentuate the wheels a bit - no photochopping...

If I get the spacing right, I think we may have a winner...

How do you know what rims fit on the x type bc I never understood when u Gus talk about offsets and what not lol

It is a bit of a science and I've been doing this stuff for about 18 years. Still always a little trial and error. Tirerack has good literature on this if you're interested.

I feel like the +40 front might look a little sunken battleship but other than that they should look good!

You know I won't rest until the spacing is right and I can still pancake this POS.

Nice wheels, weren't you running 20s though. I thoiught you were running winter tires on the 18s.

Jaggyx 01-26-2011 11:44 PM

18's? Those are some tiny wheels for you ehh? I like 18's though, and these are going to be sweet.

I know, I just want a little moar low and facey wheels with low pro tires look bigger than they really are.

I wanna see framerails sitting on the ground with these wheels!

I think we may have a winner or very close second to the Sport Technos...

Damn dude, that looks nice! What the hell you do for a living where you throw rims on for a few months and trash them? lol Very nice taste and its even better because you actually know what your doing and make them fit just right! Very nice once again dude, make me one jealous sob

p.s. that photoshop picture does ZERO justice to how they really came out! VERY NICE!!!

I work at a little software company in Redmond, WA that you may have heard of.

more expensive than my penny slot machines...

Winna winna chicken dinna.

Those wheels make the car, well done.

Next time I'm doing one of your Redmond events I'll let you know before. I've done the campus tour a few times with clients. What is the spacer you ended up with.

No spacing at the moment. That is why the rear still looks a bit flamboyant.

Are the fenders on this car untouched?

Take care,

George

No, but these wheels without spacing would be fine on untouched fenders.

I can't decide between these and the sport technos.. I say keep these as the winter wheels and the technos for summer. Definitely liking how they look though
