Quick question '06 starter replace 3.0 automatic
Read what I can find about changing the starter. Can find one locally. Have the tools and stuff.... question:
Most people saying just remove that one bracket and the starter comes out ok after that. I have coolant hoses over top of the starter... hose from reservoir and looks like 2 hoses to heater core, etc. Nobody had to remove those? Just asking and I'm sure it will make more sense when I get my hands in there. |
Don't worry about those hoses, just disconnect the battery cable, remove the bracket and two bolts on the starter then there's enough room to wiggle the starter out of its place.
