Replacing Fog Lamp Bulbs - Instructions?

Hey Guys,

I finally decided that I wanted to replace the fog light bulbs in my 03 x-type. I have factory hid, so I hated the way the car looked with the halogen fogs on. I decided that it would be pretty hard to try to match the factory hid, well at least without purchasing another HID kit, so I took a different approach, and went for the euro look for a distinct contrast look. I'm going to be using NOKYA 2500k yellow h1 fog bulbs in the fog lamps. I had this done to my older bmw e36 and it looked pretty cool.

I haven't done much to the x, except for the whole stereo system, i'm actually going to do a comprehensive writeup when I get the time on that... But does anyone have instructions on how to get to the fog bulbs so I can replace them.

Thanks in advance,

George

To get to them you have to take this black cover that is down there that covers the whole underneath are under the front bumper. Once you pop off like 4 screws per side you can reach in there and get the job done. My buddy bought some good yellow lights for his fogs on his bonneville and he spent like between 70-80 bucks on ebay for them. They kind of have a rainbow light to them when they shine at day. They are pretty sweet. I understood what he was trying to get from the lights though and some people think its stupid. I personally would do it but than again the bulbs he has were kind of expensive. I'd rather spend some extra money on some hids that are colored. Good luck let us know what you do and what you chose.paid......

Hey Androulakis,
I had mine done by my auto electrician, and pretty much as Aquill described. Its a bit of a female dog to do but well worth it in the end.
