second Jag

As the proud owner of an XK8 convertible, when I found I needed a new winter car, it just seemed too appropriate that a newer X Type with exactly the same interior and exterior color fell into my hands on the very small island where I live on the Pacific coast. I couldn't be happier. It may only be a few days a year that it snows here, but I travel for medical reasons twice a week and all wheel drive is critical. Besides, the car is a beauty...Who could not love driving it?

Lovely X-Type...but you do know that buying a second Jaguar moves you down the very slippery slope of Jaguar-obsession, right?

Brown belt, black belt....

What obsession?

Be very careful... they tend to multiply.

I have 2 X-Types and so far; At any given time (for the most part) one them has been 100% trouble-free (for the most part) .

I'm thinking about replacing the perfectly functioning fuel pump in my wife's X-Type just to maintain proficiency in doing so. ;)

Be careful what you wish for! I started out with an XK8; good car, but the previous owner's maintenance left a lot to be desired and I ended up doing it retroactively; tough lesson. Was on the Marketplace two years ago and saw an X-Type Estate Wagon for sale in Atlanta. Guy even drove it up here to Pennsylvania for me. Then, last year, I found an X-Type Sport with manual transmission and 152,000 miles in Ohio; bought it sight-unseen. If I buy one more Jag, of any kind, my bed will be out in the garage!
