Jessy, as for the spark plugs, no special tools are necessary. Common hand tools is all that you need. As for the rubber parts you are talking about, it is an intake gasket set. It is a set of 6 round (not a perfect circle, but close). The intake on our cars comes in a few pieces and when you do the plugs, you have to split it in half to access one bank of plugs.
Don't fret if you get new gaskets and they are a different color than what is on your car now. Jag updated the rubber components to something a bit better and therefore changed the color of the rubber. You don't have to get new rubber though as these pieces are reusable. Some will tell you just to replace them, others will tell you just to reuse. I say if they are not damaged, reuse them.
