Swap CD player for Cassette deck?
Can you just swap out a CD player in an X-Type with a cassette deck from another X-Type? I am looking for a simple solution to be able to connect an iPod, but don't want to spend $400 on an ACM.
Any ideas? |
Seriously???
You already asked this question in your other thread & you got an answer;

Does anyone know if you can swap a stock CD deck for a cassette deck without any further changes?
Or does the whole thing have to be replaced?

P.S. You can swap your single-slot CD for a tape player, it's plug-n-play 99% of the time, just make sure you get the radio code with the new one.

I'm sorry. I must have missed that response, and I was never alerted that a response was posted.

Any ideas? CD Quality sound and no wires (only when not charging) from the deck to the iPhone. |

Once you do the swap, buy the iDeck from Amazon: Amazon.com: iDeck Integrated Car Cassette Adapter for iPod (Certified "Made for iPod"): Electronics
CD Quality sound and no wires (only when not charging) from the deck to the iPhone. WOW! Nice! Thanks for the tip! |
