I'll get better pics tomorrow, but I put my Porsche wheels on because I'm waiting for a new tire for the other wheels (took a rather large bolt in it near the sidewall). Talk about "Hellaflush", the rear wheels are completely outside the fender plain.

I can't believe those bolted up! I assume, with the spacer/adapter to get correct pattern.

Want to see a wider shot, whole car. :) plz

Are you sure? The other wheels are better in my opinion. These will please the American visual preferences though - as flat-faced wheels look more modern to most people here and that is what modifying a car is all about, right? Making it look newer.

The style of the wheel doesnt really work with the car but damn that fitment looks good!

...although the more I stare at that side view the more they are growing on me...

If you go with Porsche wheels, I still think they should be these for the x-type.

EDIT: Put Arden center caps on them and no one here (or on the concours circuit) would know they weren't :)

And the comparatively outdated Arden one-piece design:

What's the final offset / sizing of these things with the adaptors and all?

chknhwk Aug 9, 2010 02:21 PM

I would really like to see that second set mounted...

Wheels are 20x9 ET60. Spacers are 40mm rear and 30mm front. I have 25mm ones on the way from Lenny to go on the front and I'll put the 30s in back.

Fenders are rolled flat, but aren't really stretched out at all.

ufoz8mycow Aug 11, 2010 12:32 PM

225s all around? Looks like they've got a pretty good stretch on them..

exexpat Aug 11, 2010 01:09 PM

Here is a bad pic of it as low as it can go (hitting rear tires)

Yep, they're stretched. 225's on 9's or no big deal at 35 or 40 series, but with a 30 series, the sidewalls are at a 45 degree angle.

That's the kind of stretch you need to be hellaflush approved.. I think it looks awesome with these wheels, they've really grown on me. The bags really help pull off the look.

I thought about stretching 225s onto my 9.5 rears for a hot minute before I caved and went 235. Test fit this weekend if the weather stays nice

Are those pieces already painted? Just install it all and be done with it. Paintscratch.com is based in Vegas, if you order now you can even get paint for your grille and lip by tomorrow possibly.
