Default Trying to find aftermarket sheet metal

I thought I put the link up here, but can't find the post...

One of the suppliers has an aftermarket right-hand outer rocker panel (the steel, not the plastic part) available in the $500 range, rather than the $800 that the OEM part generally sells at.

I need one, and I can't find the supplier!

Anybody? Bueller? Bueller?

Thanks!

That's better than what I was finding, especially for the Jag part instead of the repop.

Thanks!

Yeah, I have seen those. There was an aftermarket supplier whom I thought was stateside. I've found these for €235 in Europe, and even with another 120 euros to ship, still better.

I suppose I could check the yards...it is just SO much easier to have that outside section with the holes than to roll one myself.

Default Here is Another Link to use...

Here is another link to use - it really looks to be/appears to be the same - except this one is associated with a Jaguar - Land Rover Dealership in Reno.

The "Reno" site is about $4.00 more on most items. Thanks PanamaJAG!

Found the supplier, he is out and not planning on re-stocking, but sent me to his supplier, who is in the UK. 225 quid plus 35 more to ship, so about $360 delivered. The downside is two or three weeks for it to get here. Fair trade off!

Definitely not worth the cost of air freight when it'll only take another few weeks by container ship.

I was thinking of going to a scrap yard and get some for my car as well. Or just find another south and part mine out...AGAIN!
Oh well. 2 more x types to add to the departed list

I looked at the scrap yards up here, and they have them, but $300 plus. That's why I was looking for the less expensive panel; that nice clean weld will save two hours of shop time!

Dr, do you have any 2002 ABS controllers down there?

Keep me in the loop...I meed the hydraulic side, I think...no codes being thrown, but the brakes get kind of jerky under partial braking. Probably easier to swap out the whole thing, though...
