Turtle Wax Black Box

Before taking my 2004 to a body shop to see how much it will cost to remove the many small scratches from my hood, I tried a product called Black Box by Turtle Wax. I watched a lot of videos on you tube about it and it looked promising. Its basically a cleaner and wax designed for black cars and though very messy (I went through 3 pairs of gloves) the results were astounding and I wanted to share them with everyone. I know its just a temporary fix but, WOW, what differencehttps://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.jag...456ae19699.jpg

Looks fantastic! This was one of the first products I tried on my X when I bought it years ago. Worked like a charm and you get great results without professional tools.

IMO nothing beats a just polished and waxed black car!

Looks like you have the same cracking I have on my British racing green x type. It seems like I have seen other posts with the same problem. It's some kind of factory flaw that causes the undercoat to crack

Now that you mention it, it does resemble what I have seen on the XK8 (same color). I've never looked closely enough at others to see whether they showed signs of it or not...and it only seems to plague the front fenders on mine- no signs of it elsewhere.

Try poorboys Blackhole, this is specifically designed for blacks, dark blues and darker coloured cars, works great

I can highly recommend

On my black car, I applied a small amount in a circle, left for a few minutes then buffed off. Standing back and then looking at the same area from a few slightly different angles, you could actually see a BLACK area within the black paintwork.....amazing stuff.
