Hey guys!

My headlights are getting water/ condensation inside after I changed the bulb. What did I do wrong? Any ideas ?

thanks.

I can only think it could be the climate conditions at the time. I would guess that changing it in the morning when the car is at its coldest on a humid day might cause some condensation.
Another possibility is that after changing the bulb, that the rubber seal around the light housing wasn't completely sealed and moisture has seeped in.
I'd recommend opening it up on a warm day to air it out a bit. You might need to wipe out the moisture (rag on a stick?) before re-installing the bulb and ensuring the seal is tight.

Did you make sure the cover is fitted correctly? Sometimes they can be tricky putting back in place.

This cover needs to be seated properly, making sure the seal is seated as well. If the metal clips on the edges go over fairly easy, then its sealed, if they didn't, then its not fitted correctly.

Thanks all for your replies. Everything fit normally when I put it back together after changing the bulb. I have taken it apart again and redone it.

Sounds like just bad luck then since you made sure the caps are on correct. There is a built in gizmo to remove the moisture.
Sure they were not doing it before? Just now noticed with the bulb change perhaps?
