Welcome to the forum Ludovic,

I've never seen a Webasto roof on a Jaguar since the early XJ6's in the 1970's. Be interested to see a photo of yours.

Please follow this link New Member Area - Intro a MUST - Jaguar Forums - Jaguar Enthusiasts Forum to the New Member Area - Intro a MUST forum and post some info about yourself and your vehicle for all members to see. In return you'll get a proper welcome and some useful advice about posting to the forum.

Hi.

I think he is talking about a Fuel Fired Heater.
Mine started smoking a lot as well before giving up the ghost.
Pulled a fuse to stop it trying to start. Have never got around to fixing it.

The only heater nastier than a Whirlwind!

The combustion chamber and exhaust both get carboned up; they can be cleaned, but it is a messy task best done off the car.

Is there someone there who's clean himself or make clean by a pro ?
I've disconnect the fuse but i would like to make it work normally during the winter.

I did the one that I had on an older VW bus, the parts (igniter, burner, pump, and filter) are available, but it was a dirty dirty dirty job.

Well worth my while, sourced most of the parts out of the UK, cost was about $280 US (about 200 quid at the time) compared to almost $900 US for a replacement.

It was anir Top 2000 unit, which is what I THINK the jag may have.
