Weird random noise

My x has developed a strange noise, it happens quite often while driving, lasts a
Few seconds, then stops and starts again soon after.
The noise is coming from an area on the driver side in the footwell area close
To the obd2 port.
Its a kind of clicking noise similar to the sound some cell fones make when
Placed near a radio.
There is a relay above the fuse box which as far as i can see could b a culprit.
Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Hmm. I hear a sort of clicking noise as well, occasionally, but mine sounds more like a clock ticking, except it's indeed not continuous. It's fairly silent too, not at all like an electronic interference sound.

Mine, however, seems to originate from the passenger area, behind dashboard.

Could it be the TCM?
My transmission has just started acting a bit weird too.

Can't really say anything helpful or useful, but I'd assume it's not the TCM at least in my case since I assume only automatic gearboxes have a control module :D

Yep it sounds like a modem running information or something.

My1st 04 didn't have that and all sudden one day it did. AI taking over! Reading everywhere u go? I go Idk. I think it's the car communicating
