I have been trying to find the handbrake adjustor for my car (Jaguar X-Type 2002 Automatic) so I could tighten the handbrake cable but I couldn't find it at all. I have looked under the car, inside the central console, and the area near the rear brake caliper. All of these locations do not have a screw for me to adjust the cable. I have attached photos to this post.

Could someone tell me where to find it? Thanks a lot.

So does that mean that I would have no way to adjust the cable with a the screw manually?

Thankyou for attaching these files. However, there is the mention of the "Global Technical Reference GTR Workshop Manual" which I couldn't find anywhere on the internet. Would you know where I could find it?

 

You will need a 'username/password' to gain access to the site. Mostly just a dealer thing. I had one years ago when I worked at the Jaguar dealer but was 'deleted' when I quit the dealer.

Before GTR there was JTIS (The repair manual on CD) but was discontinued around 2004 with version 21 as a final release.
