CTEK 3300 Charger

I have been using my CTEK 3300 with the cigarette lighter attachment to charge my Aston Martin DB9 with great effect, I have now just purchased a Jag XE and was wondering if I can use the charger for the jag, via the 12v port in the trunk, or do I actually need to connect the charger up to the battery?

It depends if this the dedicated charging socket or a normal 12v socket. If I remember correctly the dedicated charging socket is a little smaller than a std 12v socket.

if you don’t have this then suggest using crocodile clips to charge via the terminals under the bonnet (hood). I ended up fitting a ctek charging socket in the boot (trunk) which shows the battery charging state.

Thanks, so if I understand what you are saying it means if the charging socket fits the plug I will be OK or are you saying something different?

It depends on what plug is on your charger - I just know in the UK ou can specify a charging socket if you buy the CTEK charger. I will see if I can get a picture of the socket
