OEM Tires (Tyres) on 2017 XE 35t (19")?

What were the OEM tires on the 2017 XE Prestige with 19" wheels (in North America if that matters...)

My 2017 XE Portfolio AWD came with Dunlop tyres on its 19" wheels. Whether cars supplied to the US had different tyres I can't say. They lasted well, but are prone to shoulder cracking which requires them to be replaced, even if not fully worn to the UK roadworthiness test limit (1.6 mm). I had to replace the fronts for this reason, and a year later, the rears.

Pirelli Centurato P7 are the actual tires, if that's what you were asking.

Yup. Mine is an AWD, but I'm fairly certain the RWD have the staggered 19s as well.

My 2017 R-Sport 35T came with "staggered" wheels and therefore tires as standard equipment at least in the US. The sizes and brand are what jgearheart listed.

Yeah, rotating the tires has always been a controversy on the XE. Jaguar's Owner Handbook instructions often say do NOT rotate these tires at all. Wear them until either rear of front are facing the end, and swap ALL four out at the same time.
Can't remember which handbook I read that in, but it is definitely in one somewhere.

When I had a 1980 XJ6 Series 3, the maintenance manual warned against rotating tyres, stating that they should be replaced as a car set. Of course this was nonsensical, as tyres on the front or rear could be worn out well before those on the other axle. It was a council of perfection without any consideration of owner economics. For myself, I work on the basis of replacing in axle sets. So, for instance, when I suffered complete tyre destruction on one of the rear tyres on my MG TF in April, I replaced both tyres.

Should anyone be interested, the 18” wheels are ‘square’ - same size all round, not staggered.

Interesting. What is the square setup and I see you say you have AWD? my guess is you'd have 225/40/18 all around?

I would like to track the car but 225s all around are narrow, so I'd love to find out what an acceptable wider width would be on the fronts - and then use that all around with a nice sticky compound.

I’m on the road right now, but that sounds right.

bought a used Jaguar , requested the dealer ibsff to all 4 new tires. Their Choice : Continental
pro contacts all around. 225/45. R18’s
very quiet tire with a nice ride Tire pressure was a bit puzzling fronts at 43 psi in fronts. 47 psi in rears. Anybody know why such high pressures ?

This may not be the official answer, but when I used the lighter setting (for less weight inside the car), I kept destroying tires and rims every time I hit a pothole. Someone later explained to be that with less air in the tire, there is less distance between the car and the road.

Since I switched to the 43/47 setting, I have not experienced any ruined tires or rims.

I found that while 43/47 was good for handling, I could feel every imperfect expansion joint on freeways. I set TPMS to ‘light’, and run 40/40.

I also dislike how close the rears get to the tires’ max cold temp pressure of 50.

how to reset TPMS TO 40/40. Easily done ?

Except for buying two new Pirelli Centurato P7's after a pothole took out both left side tires with only 2000 miles on the car I never went back to them. The sidewalls on the Pirelli's seems to be weaker than other brands. Since the Pirelli's I've tried Michelin Pilot Sport 3+ A/S, then Goodyear Exhilarate (which were pretty good despite the cheesy name), but my favorite so far are the current Bridgestone Potenza RE980AS+ which are still comfortable at the higher 47/43 psi setting. Similar to what DJS mentioned though...I tend to run them around the mid-point of the TPMS normal/light setting of 42/40... but set the TPMS to the light setting to avoid warnings. We have big morning/afternoon temperature swings where I live and so I can often see 50+ psi on the rears if I use the 47 psi setting.

Set TPMS to ‘light’, which is something like 33/33. It doesn’t seem to care about higher pressures, only lower.
