For those interested, I am here in London for the XE Reveal. I am getting to attend a lot of design level meetings with the designers and promoters. I will pass on what info I can. Learning lots about how Jaguar functions and even some of the other future comings with the other vehicles. So, stand by for more information. If you have specific questions, let me know. The final discussion is Tuesday Morning. I will ask and find out what I can.

Jaguny, I will ask. BUt, I seem to remember hearing that the XF is going to be updated for 2015 and in 2016 the XJ is going to be updated. The outside styling of both cars is going to remain fairly consistant with what they currently have. The big change will be getting the cars converted over to full aluminum bodies. But, I will ask and make sure of the dates.

tomas, you need to look at those photos closely. There is a lot of hidden information in them and some of the pics do not show the whole story either. While I can't go into a lot of detail at the moment, lets just say if you look and can figure out what some of the holes and boxes are for, there are a lot of very interesting things coming in the new XE as options. I am not sure what all will be standard, but I can say that the XE will be coming with laser heads up display and will be powered by both the turbo I4 and the supercharged V6. Look under the X-Type section and I will post a lot of facts about the car that were released tonight and then I will give you my suspicions of what I think the car may have in it.

I have my car in service (1st service) and it turns out base XE's do not come with windshield fluid sensors.

I know it is crazy but service adviser was just as surprised. My fluid ran out and had to fill it up. The dashboard did not show any warnings. I just thought that the sensor was not working but it turns out there is no sensor at all. (no sensor attached from the factory)

Raaz - True the XE S has the 380hp engine vs the base 340hp. Another item to note that with the Technology package added the gauge cluster is now a full 12" TFT display.

I have my 2018 XE S ordered with this option, delivery should be in July where I will post photos.

Default Dream car

We bought a 2017 XE R-Sport and it has turned out to be our dream car we have only put about 10,000 trouble free miles on it so far and love everything about it including a gas mileage ( US gallons) of 30.2mpg over the whole time we have had it with really mixed driving. I am getting fed with Car magazines putting it down as unreliable based on their false impressions of the X Type. We see lots of those around and the one we traded had 220,000 miles on it and was a beautiful ride.
In their latest (Motor Trend) they did a comparison of the "top six" and placed the XE in number 6 position. We had driven all of the others before we drove the XE and are thankful we got the jaguar. The others really did not compare !
So for us many more relaxing miles but with the ability to put the foot down to get out of trouble. (3L V6) If you are looking at the 2018 which is supposed to be even better you are in for a real treat
Happy motoring.

I got 64GB SanDisk class 10 sdcard [90MB/s write]

Formatted that to fat32

Copied the contents from my XE sdcard

With the new sdcard my navigation is faster.
