Engine swap.
Just out of curiosity, I have a 2009 supercharged XF I went off the road in the vehicle and the body is kind of shot. Definitely not worth fixing.
The engine and transmission are perfect though. If I had a fewer 2012 to 2017 crappy XF with like one of the diesel engines or the low power v6, could I swap in my V8? Is it possible, and if so what all would it entail?

Sorry, but you have an X250 model, not the X260 version that is the focus of this forum.
But no, you couldn't possibly transfer an engine from a 2009 XF into a 2016 or later XF.
