Fumes from air vents

i have a new 2ltr diesel XF sportbrake and after about 20 mins and the engine is hot I get a smell via the vents to particularly bad when stop start activates both stopping and starting. I get a metallic taste on my lips and feel sick and light headed. Any ideas I have taken to dealer who was useless left it parked for two days I could see via the app then said didn’t find anything last night so bad I called roadside assist but by the time they arrived it was cold but thought it might be electric auxiliary heater

The symptoms you're experiencing are related to poisoning. Could be a CO poisoning from leaky exhaust or coolant poisoning from leaky cooling system. It's not related to a start/stop issues. It's just the fumes are collected faster when you what? stopped.
This is literally a matter of life and death and I wouldn't ask for an advise from strangers on a forum. This is absolutely wrong place to ask for advise related to potentially dangerous issue. Go to a different dealer immediately!

Same symptom reported on another forum. The other poster said the smell stopped after about 1000 miles.
