Default IPod source option no longer shows up when iPhone connected via USB

Hi all

firstly my apologies if this has been answered on the forum. I did a search but found nothing.

Recently got a an XF R Sports 2017. Using an iPhone and connectivity via Bluetooth is fine. However when connected via usb cable I was able to use the Jaguar App. Also sound quality is a lot better with the cable when selecting the iPod option from the media source list.

All of a sudden iPod option does not display. Nor does it detect the Jaguar App.
Bluetooth still works fine.

Have changed cables (using orig Apple cables) and used different iPhone but still nothing.
No software updates were done on
iPhones.

Was thinking to reset media system? Not sure how.

Any thoughts on what has gone on and how
I solve this.

thank you

Az

Maybe it's your iPhone? Have you tried cleaning the connections?

I haven’t no. As I mentioned I have tried to use another cable and another iPhone.

but something weird happened today. I disconnect the phone from BT (bluetooth) and when I reconnect BT and connect the cable the iPod source option appears and then miraculously disappears taking away the BT source option too.

I am able to listen to music using BT on its own.

Anyone else experienced similar issues?

I will try the deep clean option too. Worth a go nothing else is working so far and it’s becoming frustrating.
