Leather trim detaching or separating

All: have any of you guys run into a problem of the leather tipped trim piece slightly detaching or separating from the dash? The piece I'm speaking of runs all the way along the dash.

I noticed a very slight gap in the trim under the right side of the infotainment. I could push it back into place but it would stay only for a few seconds and then pop out again. I've uploaded some pics of the problem.

What I was able to figure out is that the clip or fastener that is on the trim send to have lost its spring. Thus, it can't seem to hold in its place. Before I take it in to have worked on I thought I'd ask my friends from the forum. Have you guys run across this kind of thing before? If so, what have you done about it?

Thanks in advance.

Yup. It's a '16. It's weird.

yep - in fact, posted this in this forum a couple of months ago in our '18 XF Portfolio:

we're taking it in for service soon - hopefully they can fix it

Oh shoot. I looked at your pics, and that's worse than mine for sure. I'll have to take it in as well. I've got an extended warranty on mine, which (I hope) can cover this.
