Prefacelift vs facelift
I took my 2011 XF in for service and got a 2018 XF as a loaner. I really prefer my own car for several reasons.
1. It is quieter. I don't know if it is because the loaner is a turbo 4 AWD and mine is Naturally aspirated V8.
2, It is harder to get in and out. The rocker is higher and wider than on mine,
3. It seems that mine is quicker.
Comments?

Than a 4 pot? I should hope so. I have a 3.0L V6 S/C and it has plenty of poop at low and high rpms and would give your engine a run for the money. You can't beat the V8 sound though.... unless it's a V12!

As far as my 2011 being quieter, I feel that Jaguar could have had better sound insulation.
My problem with getting in and out is not hitting my head, but my knee hitting things as I go over the rocker panel.
I agree about the sound of a V12. I have a 94 XJS 6.0. I also get more envious looks when I drive her instead of the XF.

Ooooh. Jealous. The new XF isn't refined as much as the older models except in the handling and power where it surpasses (excepting the blown V8 and the V12) IMHO.
