I have a 2010 jaguar XFR with 64,000miles , while driving it the car just accelerated itself and did not move up speed just started revving , I had to park **** it down and turn it back on , and it drove good again what would be the problem ? The “transmission fault” warning came up

There was a firmware/software update required for the transmission on some of the XFs of that era. Has the transmission been behaving erratically, slipping etc, other than this 1 occurrence?

I'd get a scan done to find out what the fault was, serious trans faults will usually code out even on low level OBD 2 scanners then ensure the battery is good. And this trans (ZF 6HP28) does require regular maintenance, and is very reliable.
