'13 XF awd suspension noise?
I purchased a new 2013 XF awd in January, and have had a pretty loud suspension "creak" that occurs 100% of the time when going over speed bumps. (It originally sounded like bushings but now is getting worse. Occurs when the front wheels go over bumps, and comes from both the front and the back.)
After four visits to the dealership, the noise is as bad as it ever was. (The last two visits had various parts replaced and consultation between the dealer and Jaguar "tech line"). Now I'm being told that "they all do that" (referring to XF awd).
"They all do that" sounds a bit odd. Does everyone with '13 XF awds have creaking suspensions when they go over speed bumps? (Can also be heard sometimes just going over any bump)

Have you tried cracking open the sunroof (I know, sounds odd) because my "suspension" creaking actually originates from dust getting into the hard rubber sunroof seal. Cleaning that and "lubing" it with Aerospace 303 silicone spray cures the creaking for months. If opening the sunroof eliminates or even changes the creak you've found the culprit.
Otherwise, the wishbone bushings and anti-roll bar bushings are know to wear but that would be early for a 2013. Shock failure has been known to make noises but is rare and usually a knock rather than a creak.
And, no they don't commonly creak from the suspension until the bushings wear out.

Thanks for this. I will check the sunroof. The front bushings were replaced, but the creak still comes from both the front and back (both occur at the time the front wheels go over a bump). I don't know what, if anything, was done in the back.
I found it highly improbable that "they all do it" - especially as it's pretty loud and very annoying. (After the first repair visit they couldn't hear it; the second visit they said they "got most of it", but "thought" the rear noise was coming from something in the trunk; after the third repair visit they needed to get more parts; after the fourth repair visit it's now "they all do it" stating that it's an awd thing.)
I've had the car for less than ten months and really want to like it, but ...

I had this issue on my front left suspension from day 1 when I got my '13 XFR. It took me multiple trips to the dealer to get it fixed. First they said it was an improperly torqued screw which they retorqued and said it was fixed (it was not). I returned a 2nd time, and they said they replaced some component (can't remember what) and said it was fixed (it was not). Finally they replaced the strut, and that fixed it. I would insist on them replacing your strut, as I would imagine the sound you're hearing is identical to what i was hearing, and it's SUPER annoying (not to mention unacceptable on a car of this price range).
Let us know how it turns out.

Thanks texevora and jagular. I checked and it's not the sunroof. The last repair ticket said "[Jaguar] tech line ... advised to change everything on both dampers except the damper itself, so springs, top mount, and hardware". (It appears that this was on the front only, which also may explain the unresolved suspension noise from the rear.)
Yes, this is both annoying and unacceptable for a car of this class. I'm actually surprised that Jaguar USA or a dealer could say "they all do that" - that's like saying "Jag just isn't that good", or "you should expect these sorts of issues with a Jag". So much for changing the perception of reliability and build quality.
