I had used an aftermarket back up camera in our FWB .
Results ? It was far from satisfaction ,sometimes it worked very nice ,sometimes not . You could hardly see what's behind you due to poor image quality and blinking screen
I think professional auto techs can install better products . BTW, there is another thing ,if you pull the trigger for XF and buy a camera for it ,make sure it would not break the overall warranty .

Of course, upon further questioning, he had to admit that the backup camera now comes standard on the 2010 XF Premium, so I must not be alone in wanting a backup camera. I've searched this forum and many other sites and haven't yet been able to find anyone who has installed an aftermarket camera in an XF. Does anyone know if this can be done and if so, who is the manufacturer of the product? Even if it can be done, would this void my warranty in any way? Thanks in advance.
I haven't heard of any, but if it's possible, Jaguar dealers would know about it and install it. I know my local MB dealer offered a rear camera for around $1000 installed. I have a 2010 XF Premium that came with the camera and it sure comes in handy. With the tall rear trunk line, you can't see anything behind you when you're backing up. It's essential, in my view.

As far as I know, there aren't any backup camera retrofit parts available from Jaguar. But you might want to check out some of the offerings from Gentex at www.mitocorp.com. Instead of sending the camera feed to the nav screen, it's fed to the rear-view mirror, which is also available with auto-dim functions, HomeLink, and compass. You can also purchase cameras from them. It's not cheap, but it makes it possible.

I'm sure you can easily go to a good high end stereo place.
I had one added to my 2007 XJR worked perfect on the NAV screen.

I find it very strange that a Premium model would not have a backup camera. That was an option on Luxury and standard on Premium, Supercharged and XFR.
