Its usual to do the alignment after the tyre fitting. It could be that one of the lower wishbone trunnion bushes is starting to fail. It's usually the front one, and causes the inner side to wear down as the car goes along due to tow-out. Sometimes this doesn't show on an alignment rig as the car is standing still, so might be prudent to get all the trunnion bushes checked out. However, at 50k miles, I would not expect trunnion wear, to be honest, it's likely something else. Have you hit any bad pot-holes recently ?

By the way, if you have an XK, you've posted in the wrong forum for your car. This forum is for the XF saloons 2007-2014
