Cost to replace brakes & rotors?
It will vary by region and by dealer, but this is commonly in the 2,000 dollar range, at least until you negotiate a little if they know you.
Plenty of replacement kits on Fleabay for way less than OEM price, just buy a kit and take the parts into your local brake shop and have them fit them, will cost you less than half what the dealer quoted. You can also get better pads than the stock incredibly dusty ones.
Only two "traps" to be aware of - you need a 9mm hex bit for the front caliper pins, and the rear brake pistons must be would in (with a tool) not pressed in.

I sense that this is a trick question.
Chances of a car needing four new rotors and four new sets of pads all at the same time are pretty slim.
Chances that anybody here would actually pay a dealer full retail price to do this are even more slim.

I was quoted $1500 for my old Xtype so that seems about right. I miss the Platinum Service they offered a few years back. I got the rotors and pads replaced on my old 2011 XF under warranty. I think they are offering Platinum Service again on the 2016 and up models.

Measure the thickness of the rotors. Jag seems to just say to replace them at every pad change. But there is a spec for replacement thickness and easy to measure (or have your indy or dealer do it). Could save a lot of money
Also pad wear indicator is a bit crude - mine came on with 4mm or so of pad left which in my mind is pretty wasteful to change at that point so I ran mine a bit longer before changing them out (several thousand miles in fact). Still has 2mm left when I changed them

The dealer and Jaguar has been very good to me and I'd be a jerk to take the car elsewhere for service now - even though I could save a few sheckles.
Wow I'm around $800CAD for centric high carbon rotors and powerstop or even posi quiet ceramic pads (both axles).
Just did the rear axle a few weeks ago and I was out about $380 all in (parts through rock auto and just over an hour labour at my mechanic)
its for a 4.2L 09 XF though.

I'm very happy with them. I made certain to "bed-in" the pads and rotors when I first installed them, and the lack of brake dust is a God send. Our XF is driven year round, from hot summer days to sub-zero nights, and they work just fine.
Just did pads, rotors, pad sensor wires and brake fluid flush for $830.00. Used centric pads & rotors and got the parts from rock auto $480 shipped, the rest was my mechanic's labor. this was on a 2012 XF. I got Jaguar rotors once and they were $600 for only the 2 front rotors and they warpped within 20,000 miles.

I guess that must be Flat Rate prices
I do not see this as a complex job, just a bread and butter for the dealer
