Crank shaft 2013 Jaguar

I have a 2013 Jaguar XF 3.0 SC
and I have a rod knocking, I’m at 95,000 miles
the engine can still start and run so the engine is not lock up.
i work at a dealership and I had one of the tects take a look at it and he also said the same thing.
jaguar said that the crank shaft is discontinued .
my question is is there another crank shaft that can be interchanged with my car.
i know I can get machine work done but idk if I want to fix the car or not
just needing so info

Well the engine is shared with Land/Range Rover, so you might check there too.

Are you sure it has been discontinued?
Coz it still shows at Reno Jaguar, part # C2S14121, see here: https://parts.jaguarreno.com/oem-par...Y2LWdhcw%3D%3D
It also shows at heaps of other dealerships when I put that part # into Goggle.

Careful, these online EPCs (even dealer websites) are not always up to date. You can order and pay for an item only to have the dealer email you to let you know it's no longer available.

I experienced exactly this with the VVT solenoids on the front of the engine - the original metal type are no longer available, and I had the dealer advise me to try a junkyard for one! As it turns out, there's an SSM about it and you can fit later ones combined with a flylead that you splice into your original loom.

^^^ Yep! I had the same issue when I was looking to replace the battery.

Always call them and give them your VIN number before ordering the part.
I find it odd that they will discontinue an important part like this...
