Default Damn you gaawwwddd and your hail

So I got caught in a hail storm. Totally ruined my XF. The XType was under a tree but still got dinged. I have never dealt with this before. I am almost hoping for a total loss on the XF. Does anyone have any previous experience in this type of situation? Looking for some sound advice.

Geez, that's bad luck mate!
Never happened to me but has happened to some of my mates here in Oz.
Most times the car is a write off (total loss), but if the dents aren't too numerous or too deep they can be repaired. But even then that usually means a complete respray.

What a bummer dude..I seen that weather the other night coming up through DFW area into SE OK and then into Arkansas..

There are some really good paintless dent removal shops around, since this a pretty common occurrence in our neck of the woods....They do really good work..

Hope you get it all resolved with the insurance co.

On the bright side, maybe that will let you move up to an SC.

Got 2 cars knocked out by the hail plus the house roof.

In the past I was able to get my car back to perfect by Dent Wizards. If you have just minor dings I would go paintless repair. If it's got baseball size dents then it's a loss but they will still attempt to fix.

So I got the damage estimate completed yesterday. The adjustor estimated the cost of repair to be $3500. That is so laughable. There are dents that cracked the paint. I am planning on taking it to Park Place BodyWerks. They can plan on doing a supplemental. I don't think PDR is going to fix all the damage but, they can try. I was assured by the Gecko reps that regardless of the damage, all I am responsible for is my deductible. Now I am trying to get them to let me use all of my rental coverage at the enterprise rental exotic cars location...hey, it's my birthday tomorrow, maybe I can get a present from the insurance company...hehehe...it looks like the S/C is still a few years away for me.

yeah, so Enterprise said hail no !!!! hehehe....

...I got a Caddy SRX instead....can not express how much I miss my Jag. I thought the infotainment in our cars was bad...man, the 2016 SRX is the worst infotainment system out there. It makes me miss the one in the Jag. It might be bland, but it works and is easy to master. All the controls on the caddy are "touch sensitive"....meaning randomly decides to accept input or not...even when placing your finger on the exact same spot. But, people seem to smile at me more in the caddy..lol...i guess it makes me more approachable...hahahha
