Default Help identifying this hose. 5.0 V8 motor

I’ve circled a hose attached to a Y type connector on a motor similar to my 2012 XF with the NA V8. On my car there is no hose attached to this section of the connector. Does anyone know where this hose goes? I don’t see another connector that is missing an attached hose on my car.

I am getting a P0106 code and was wondering if this may be why. I’m thinking the hose somehow fell off and is causing the error code.

See my post of today:

Coolant hoses to throttle body, what's up with this?

I was getting the same code this year. Cleaned off the throttle body blades and the MAP sensor just behind it and the code went away.

just got some MAF cleaner, and cleaned both of them today. Car does seem to idle better and accelerate stronger. Throttle body is next. And MAP sensor.

Not that I really have strong feelings either way on this, but I do find it interesting that Jaguar specifically warn against cleaning the throttle body in the Workshop Manual:

Default Cleaned the throttle body

Did an on car throttle body cleaning. Was fairly dirty after 81,000 miles. Didn’t get to aggressive. Just enough to clean it up a bit.

Car started and ran fine after cleaning. So far after about 50 miles of driving, no error codes.

Will see how it goes over the next few days.

Default That seems to have worked

Been about 400 miles and no check engine light. Hopefully it stays that way.
