Hood louvers and xfr front body kit chrome inserts?
Hey,
I'm wondering if anyone with the xfr has had an issue with he hood louvers not being as flush as should be. Just wondering if you suggest gluing it down or if you fixed one is not quite as flush as it should be.. just being nit picky as usual.
As for the chrome inserts I had some work done recently and it looked like the tried to remove one (to put dlrs) which they didn't need to do and and now the corner of that is not flush and it messes with my OCD. Pushing it in does not do anything, maybe need some more glue ? 😂

My bonnet vents were a little loose and rattly so I stuck them down tight with double sided tape. They were sticking up only a little bit, not really noticeable, maybe one of yours is worse?
Easy job to remove and replace them, take off the hood lining first (8 or 10 clips and a couple of scrivets), then unclip the vents from below using a small screwdriver to lever each clip loose, IIRC six on each vent - be careful not to break them. Also, make sure you are holding the vent before you undo the last one or two clips, otherwise it goes sliding down the bonnet/hood (guess how I know this?). Last but not least, cover your engine bay with a blanket/towels/tarp/whatever before you remove the hood lining, it is full of dust and rubbish which otherwise will end up all over your engine bay.
Then simply line the edges of the vent cut-outs with double sided tape, being careful to make sure the tape is inside the edges of the vents so it won't show when the vents are back on.
